About Me

I have completed my B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering (2019) from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), Bangladesh. After graduation I worked as a Production Engineer, at one of the most reputed steel processing industries of south Asia named BSRM Steels Limited for 2 years. Currently I am studying MS in Materials Science at Missouri State University while serving the university as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

What I Do

Research

My MS thesis work under the guidance of Dr. Tiglet Besara revolves around the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel intermetallic single crystals to explore their potential applications as thermoelectric, electronic, and magnetic materials as well as their viability as catalysts for various crucial reactions within the oil and gas industries.

RA Experience

In the summer of 2022 and currently in the summer of 2023, I have been appointed as a graduate research assistant at the Novel Materials Lab, under the guidance of Dr. Tiglet Besara, within the Department of Physics, Astronomy, and Materials Science at Missouri State University.

Teaching Experience

I have been a graduate teaching assistant in the department since January 2022. This role has provided me with extensive experience in teaching and mentorship, including the delivery of the labs of Foundations of Physics I. Through these activities, I have developed strong pedagogical skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students with varying levels of knowledge. This experience has reinforced my passion for teaching and deepened my aspirations to pursue a career as a researcher and educator in materials science and engineering.

Conference Attended

I showcased my research titled "Exploring Heusler Intermetallics as Promising Catalysts" at the American Physical Society (APS) March Meeting held in Las Vegas, NV in March 2023. Additionally, I shared my findings at the Materials Science & Technology Technical Meeting & Exhibition (MS&T23) in Columbus, OH in October 2023. These presentations offered a thorough insight into my endeavors in synthesizing and delving into the properties of intermetallic single crystals.
